4 Wise tips for loving where you are in life




Happiness is not one-size-fits-all. You can’t determine what “happiness” means or looks like for each individual person, because we all have our likes, dislikes, and needs. Maybe your life looks perfect from the outside, but inside, you are stressed and up to your ears in work. Or, maybe you feel perfectly calm, but on the outside, it looks totally different. While you cannot control everything that happens in your life, and you know that life will not always be an easy, flat road, you can control one thing: how you react to situations. How you choose to see it. For example, you could have a hard day and wallow around in it, or you could have a hard day and then decide, “yeah, this day sucked, BUT tomorrow is a new day and I’m going to turn it around.” You get what I’m putting down? Don’t compare yourself to anyone else

There is one thing that you are better at than everyone else. Do you want to know what it is? Okay, okay, I’ll tell you. You are better at being YOU than anyone else. This is the only game that you can win when it comes to comparison. Comparing ourselves to others is truly like the saying - it’s a thief of joy. It allows others to drive our behavior, and typically, when we compare, it’s about things that you can’t exactly control (like genetics such as height, weight, or athletic ability). Here’s the scoop: you can be anything that you want to be, but you cannot be everything. Comparisons between people are a recipe for unhappiness, and typically, it promotes self-destructive behaviors. The only time it doesn’t create this recipe of unhappiness? When you are the best at everything…and nobody is the best at every single little thing.


Don’t worry, there is good news. You have so many talents and strengths just by being you. Focus on what you are great at, work to improve when it comes to the things you love, and keep reaching for the stars. You are great, just the way you are! Please always remember that.


Do what you love

Do you know how much time we spend on things that really don’t serve us well? Don’t take yourself too seriously

There might or might not be studies behind this, but I believe that if you take life (and yourself) too seriously, it can potentially cause a lot of stress and dissatisfaction.
